The Design
One of the reasons why Nexus 9 is a competitor of iPad is
the screen. The 8.9-inch screen which has an aspect ratio of 4:3, it also deviates
from the previous Nexus tablets. It also has a good resolution of (2048 x 1536)
and the pixels density isn’t such good like its competitors, it has a pixel
density of 287ppi which gives average picture quality for videos and games,
even Nexus 7 had a better one of 323ppi. The tapered edges of the tablet makes
it appear slimmer, though it is not that slim, it is at 8mm, the height is
good, you can hold it comfortably in your hands and easy to handle, the matte
plastic on the back enhances grip and the handles smudges well. it physically
measures (212.8 x 125.6 x 6.6 mm), it is also lighter it weighs 425g compared
to iPad which is 478g. The power button and the volume rocker are on the
right-hand side with the earphone port on top, microUSB port and tiny
microphone are at the bottom. The front facing stereo speakers with BoomSound
technology are surprisingly loud and clear, so music lovers have something to
say. The metallic frame of the device differentiate it with other Nexus, it
gives it the premium feel and look, there are three colors available for the
slate; black, white and sand.
Performance.
Google Nexus 9 is the first tablet by Google running on
64-bit chip processor. The chipset is Nvidia Tegra K1 which is running on 2.3
GHz dual-core with 2 GB RAM. Tegra k1 chipset is the most powerful silicon
available for Android devices. According to GeekBench 3 benchmark, in CPU benchmark
section Nexus 9 posted the hiherest scores, it scored 3470 followed by Xiaomi
Mi Pad 7.9 which scored 3276, Mate 7 3165, Galaxy Note 4 2925, iPhone 6 2924,
Xperia Z3 2860, Z3 Tablet compact 2748 and lastly LG G3 which scored 2687. In
anTuTU CPU benchmark Nexus 9 still came the best scoring 60297, followed by
Galaxy Note 4 46824, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact 42505, Mate 7 41510, Xperia Z3

It also has a internal Storage of 16/32 GB with no card
slot. It runs with the new android v5.0 Lollipop which is sweet like the name;
it adds several useful features inclining aforementioned battery saving mode,
enhanced user profile for sharing a device with family and friends and awesome
new look and feel, one notable new Google feature is Calendar app which has a modern
interface making it easier to read with big images and intelligent icons that
better represent scheduled events. And also the Gmail app which can support
many accounts not only Gmail but others like yahoo, Microsoft, AOL
It has an 8 MP rear camera with single LED flash and records
videos at 1080p which is located on the top left corner of the device. Front
camera is 1.6 MP with an f/2.4 aperture

Nexus 9 offers connectivity, headed by optional quad-band
GSN, CDMA, penta-band HSPA and 4G LTE. Wi-Fi a/b/c/g/n/ac. Bluetooth 4.1 with
aptX, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS and microUSB ,2.0. Which are amazing for your
experience in browsing and calling.

The RAM is small with multi-tasking, 3 GB could be better.
Verdicts
HTC Nexus 9 was made to compete tabltes like ipad Air 2, well it is with them on the range, it can compete very well with them.
