Design

Nexus 6 has a 5.96-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the aforementioned resolution results in pixels density of 493ppi, which gives a very high definition when watching videos, viewing pictures or when playing very high graphics games. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 so you need not to worry about your screen getting scratched when in your pockets or bags, most phones are coming with Gorilla glass, they value you, let’s not assume Corning Gorilla Glass is shatter proof, it is not. The contrast and black levels are very incredible, brightness is very impressive and also when viewing the screen in an angle, it is perfect. Just like Sony Xperia Z3 and LG G3, you need not to worry about reading from the screen in sunlight because the legibility in sunlight is just great, trust me everything is just great about this Nexus 6 that’s why it is the most powerful pure android, with no addition of other on-top software like Huawei Emotion UI or Samsung’s TouchWiz.

The device measures 159.3 x 8.3 x 3.8 weighing 184g, it is noted that Nexus 6 is larger and thicker than Nexus 5 but the curved back makes it easy to hold in the hands. As usual, the high end smartphones must have some premium look and feel to distinguish them from others, Nexus 6 features Aluminum frame and the back is made of durable plastic, just like DROID Turbo, the back is to provide you with the strong grip when holding such a big phone. It has one of the stereo speakers and the earpiece above the display and the other stereo and the mouth piece at the bottom of the screen, Music lovers there is something to get you cheered, apart from the amazing screen, the speakers just delivers all you need, super clear sounds, thanks to the BoomSound technology. The audio jack and the slot of the nanoSIM are on-top of the device, the nanoSIM tray has a much better design than those of iPhone, HTC and other competitors.

The Volume rocker and power button are on the right side, the power button has some small lines to help differentiate from the volume rocker, the microUSB port is on the bottom. At the back is the 13 MP camera with its Dual-LED flash, with Motorola logo and Nexus branding.

Camera.

The camera is not that great compared to other flagship phones like iPhone 6.it has a 13 MP f/2.0 camera with Sony IMX 214 and OIS, the camera features dual recording, geo-tagging, touch face, face detection, photo sphere, panorama and HDR. It also has dual-LED (ring) flash, with HDR+ mode on you can take photos of great qualities. It can also capture videos of 2160p@30fps and the secondary camera is only 2MP.

Hardware

Nexus 6 is powered by quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU based on Snapdragon 805 by Qualcomm which is the best processor available for phones thus Nexus 6 has a high power, 3 GB RAM and the GPU is Adreno 420. The internal memory comes in two versions that is, 32/64 GB but with no microSD slot. According to GeekBench 3 test that is, CPU benchmark. Nexus 6 came second scoring 3285 after Meizu MX4 3556. In AnTUTU 5 CPU benchmark, Nexus 6 came first scoring 49803 followed by DROID turbo 47067. In GPU benchmark of GFx 2.7 T-Rex (1080p offscreen) Nexus 6 came fourth scoring 38.9 with iPhone 6 plus being at the top with 44.6, Galaxy Note 4 41.7 then third was DROID turbo scoring 40.9. Nexus 6 packs highly capable hardware with OS which is greatly optimized than the previous versions of Nexus.

It will run with the new android OS v5.0 Lollipop, which is highly customizable from the calendar to everything including the new Gmail app which can support many Email accounts not necessarily from Google Gmail. Another unique feature will be, at the lock screen you can read all your notifications which is very awesome.

The connectivity supported are GSM/HSPDA, Tri-band CDMA , LTE cat. 6 which can download theoretically up-to 300mbps, bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac standard compatibility and NFC for sharing your files.

Battery

The whole device is powered by a 3220mAh battery which is non-removable and is capable for 20 h on mixed usage and 10h when playing videos the same as when browsing. It also has a turbo charger which charges the battery very fast.
