From rumors to reality, here are the two Motorola competing,
Turbo which is purely Motorola which also looks like the new Moto X and Nexus 6
which is partly Google made through Motorola, Which one is the best? Let us
find out.
Design
When looking for design do for Nexus 6 which is rounded at
the top and bottom and has a very smooth back side with dual LED flash next to
the camera and measures 159.5 x83 x 10.1 mm and weighing 184 g. It also has
very reduced bezels and slim, its waistline is 8.3 mm which is not bad, though
not the slimmest phone. The narrow
bezels are finished with aluminum frame which makes the phone just look perfect
and premium. It has borrowed the design of the location of fingerprint scanner
of Huawei Mate 7, which is at the pack below the camera and also have front
facing stereo speakers.
Droid Turbo is mainly designed for durability. Droid line is
known for devices with industrial favor. Turbo measures 73.3 x 143.5 x 11.2 mm
along its curved back and it’s slimmer than nexus 6 with waistline of 8 mm
compared with 8.3 mm and it is also lighter weighing 176 g. it also spots a
ballistic nylon insert for the non-removable back-panel which is pretty hard
material used to make suitcases. It also have a metallic frame just giving it
the feel of premium.
Display.
Nexus 6 features a display of 5.96-inch AMOLED QHD display
compared to Turbo which have a display of 5.2-inch AMOLED QHD display both are
protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Looking at the resolution and pixels
density of the phones, Turbo have a higher pixels density but they have same screen
resolution of 1440 x 2560, Turbo has a higher pixels density of 565 ppi
compared to that of Nexus 6 which is 493 ppi. For super high quality images and
videos go for Turbo but if only looking for the size, go for Nexus 6.

Hardware
Turbo is powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 805, 2.7 GHz quad-core
processing and Adreno 420 graphic processor having 3 GB DDR3 RAM, the chipset
is 64-bit thus can run the new Android v 5.0 Lollipop. It has internal storage
version of 16/32/64 GB but doesn’t support microSD card. Looking at Nexus 6 it
is powered by the same chipset like Turbo, that is, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. Quad-core
Krait 450 @ 2.7 GHz and Adreno 420 GPU, 3 GB DDR3 RAM and can also support
64-bit hence can run Android v5.0 Lollipop. Is storage version are 32/64 GB. The
specs are almost alike.
Looking at the connectivity, they both support 2G and 3 G
network, looking at LTE, Turbo has LTE cat4 while Nexus has LTE cat6 which
means Nexus 6 is faster than Turbo when it comes to connectivity.
Camera.
Well Turbo packs a very good rear camera than Nexus 6. It
has 21 MP camera with 2160p@24fps video capture, dual LED flash and OIS compared
to that of Nexus 6 which is 13 MP with ring dual LED flash wuth OIS,
2160p@309fps video capture. Front cameras are the same which is 2 MP.
Battery

When it comes to battery, it is just Turbo has the name
suggest. It can go up-to 48 h normal usage without recharging the battery which
is non-removable 3900mAh battery. What is also unique about this phone is the
turbo charge, charging for 15 minutes can give you additional 8 h, is that not
cool? Nexus 6 has a battery of 3200mAh with also turbo charge, you can see the
battery capacity, Turbo’s battery is larger.
You can now see which features you like about the phone,
ranging from screen size, resolution to battery and choose which one is the
King of Motorola.
