The biggest companies in tech went to Berlin this weekend to
showcase their latest products, gadgets and innovation at IFA 2015. SmartPlanet
wades through IFA 2015 to bring you the highlights and here are some of the
things that caught our eyes.
The BB8 droid.
From star wars trailer, you had seen this cute little guy;
well it is not fiction any more. The droid with the head stuck on a rolling
ball is officially licensed version from the upcoming star wars: the force awakening.
It will cost us$149.
Samsung Gear S2 Smartwatch
As usual Samsung Company always has something for us. This Samsung’s
Gear S2 might just be the first smartwatch to have it all. It is amazing; with
1.2 inch AMOLED display is surrounded by a rotating bezel, which you use to
navigate the watch’s custom UI.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium.
I bet you know a 4k screen. Imagine such a screen on your
phone; well Sony will be bringing to you 4K display technology to your phone.
Xperia Z5 Premium will feature the world’s first 4K smartphone with a whopping
3840 x 2160 pixels resolution. With its 5.5 inch screen display, that means
806ppi.
Panasonic Smart Mirror.
This prototype mirror from Panasonic can show you new makeup
and facial hair style on your face in real time. It can also show you all the
flaws and suggest the products you can buy to improve them. Things are becoming
more smart, even a mirror is smart, how amazing.
XMG Laptop.
To gamers, we have this new beast on the block. This is a
17-inch gaming laptop with a desktop Intel core i7-4790T processor, Nvidia GTX
980M, and dual SSDs. It will cost $2400.
Motorbike Simulator.
Action cam company Nilox had this interesting motorbike
simulator and its booth that uses footage captured from Moto GP world champion
Marc Marquez bike to let you experience a Moto GP race.
Better Blu-ray
Samsung did show the first ultra-high definition Blu-ray
player. The UBD-K8500 promises 4 times the resolution and 64 times higher color
expression compared to standard blu-ray.
It is amazing how technology is progressing, honestly we were amazed with all that stuff. Thanks to all the companies that dedicated themselves at IFA 2015.
