A revisit of IFA2015: why it was the best.



The biggest companies in tech went to Berlin this weekend to showcase their latest products, gadgets and innovation at IFA 2015. SmartPlanet wades through IFA 2015 to bring you the highlights and here are some of the things that caught our eyes.
The BB8 droid.

From star wars trailer, you had seen this cute little guy; well it is not fiction any more. The droid with the head stuck on a rolling ball is officially licensed version from the upcoming star wars: the force awakening. It will cost us$149.
Samsung Gear S2 Smartwatch

As usual Samsung Company always has something for us. This Samsung’s Gear S2 might just be the first smartwatch to have it all. It is amazing; with 1.2 inch AMOLED display is surrounded by a rotating bezel, which you use to navigate the watch’s custom UI.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium.

I bet you know a 4k screen. Imagine such a screen on your phone; well Sony will be bringing to you 4K display technology to your phone. Xperia Z5 Premium will feature the world’s first 4K smartphone with a whopping 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution. With its 5.5 inch screen display, that means 806ppi.
Panasonic Smart Mirror.

This prototype mirror from Panasonic can show you new makeup and facial hair style on your face in real time. It can also show you all the flaws and suggest the products you can buy to improve them. Things are becoming more smart, even a mirror is smart, how amazing.
XMG Laptop.

To gamers, we have this new beast on the block. This is a 17-inch gaming laptop with a desktop Intel core i7-4790T processor, Nvidia GTX 980M, and dual SSDs. It will cost $2400.
Motorbike Simulator.

Action cam company Nilox had this interesting motorbike simulator and its booth that uses footage captured from Moto GP world champion Marc Marquez bike to let you experience a Moto GP race.
Better Blu-ray

Samsung did show the first ultra-high definition Blu-ray player. The UBD-K8500 promises 4 times the resolution and 64 times higher color expression compared to standard blu-ray.

It is amazing how technology is progressing, honestly we were amazed with all that stuff. Thanks to all the companies that dedicated themselves at IFA 2015.
