The new Appleās TV comes with a revised physical design,
faster internals, updated remote, and key new features including a built-in App

The new Apple TV is more powerful than its predecessor,
which is much crucial for the device gaming ambitions. It is powered by a
64-bit A8 processor and supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. itās just
10mm taller than the previous one, said Eddy Cue.
As for connections, the new Apple TV carries over the same,
power cord, HDMI and Ethernet setup as the old model.
The new Apple TV will be available in two versions; 32GB
version will cost $149, and $199 for the 64GB model, and both starts shipping
to the US and dozen of other countries in October.
With newly built app store, Apple and third party developers
will expand Appleās TVās software ecosystem and widen its core functionality to
put a much emphasis on gaming.
This new version also adds some much anticipated improvements;
one of them was the App store. The TV is also is also integrated with Appleās
Siri voice-recognition system for search and the device operation, to improve
users interaction and a new remote control with a touchpad.
The box will run on new operating system called TVOS, which
Apple promises that the developer tools will be similar to what already exist
for Appleās mobile devices. As you watch shows and movies, Siri can also
provide current weather updates or keep you with the current soccer scores.
The company also showed a few apps in its demo on stage,
including Gilt, an online shopping site, a redesigned MLB.com app, Zillow,
AirBNB and playkids. It also showed numerous games including, Disney Infinity, Crossy and much more.
Gaming is a huge focus on the new Apple TV.
The TV ships with a redesigned remote that features a large
glass touchpad at the top. Itās wider than the tiny sliver that ships with the
current Apple TV but has a similarly sparse button allotment.
Apple says the navigation on its interface is eased by
touch, such as the ability to swipe quickly across a selection of movie
thumbnails while browsing. No mention was made of the Force Touch, a feedback
feature on other Apple devices, or multitouch gestures.
Five Questions for the new Apple TV.
When will be get Apple TV service and will this set box support
the new features which will be offered?
Will be playing heavy games like call of duty advanced
warefare possible with advanced graphics or who cares, so long as it can play
games?
Will certain apps remain off-limits, like Pandora will it
make its way to the new Apple TV?
Will search result be
transparent and consumer friendly? Not
prioritizing others over others, we would like to see all search result, like
in Roku which is transparent, presenting all list of a search.
Is it worth the extra money for apps-centric in the
living room?
